Looking for research participants!

I (Kristin) am looking for 18-24 year olds who watch the TV show Friends for a research study I’m doing as part of my PhD program. I’m going to paste my official recruitment script below. If you can help me out, send me an email at klf065 (at) missouri (dot) edu. Thanks in advance!

Title: Understanding Emerging Adults’ Reactions to the TV show “Friends.”

Description: You are being invited to participate in a study about viewers’ responses to the sitcom Friends. The purpose of this voluntary and confidential study is to investigate the cultural and social aspects of the Friends phenomenon, especially the series’ messages about race, gender, sexuality, relationships, and generational differences. If you agree to participate, you will need to come to the focus group location during one of the times made available by the researcher. When you arrive, you will be asked to participate in a focus group. You will be provided with detailed instructions by the researcher conducting this study, and the researcher will answer any questions you have. About 60 minutes will be needed to complete this study. Your participation is strictly voluntary with the option to stop at any time if you feel uncomfortable with the questions asked.

Eligibility: 18-24 years old. You must have watched at least one full season of Friends.

Compensation: After all focus groups have been completed, you will receive an email with an e-code for a $15 Amazon gift card. Please acknowledge the receipt of this email once you receive it.

Confidentiality: Your answers will be kept completely confidential. When your results and those of other participants are combined and entered into a computer, they will not contain any identifying information that could connect the data to you. The results of the study may be published and/or presented at an academic conference but only the combined data from all participants will be made public.
